our story

Growing Together was founded in 2009 by Connie Cocchia, a sister to a brother living with autism. Connie recognized the important role sibling’s play in their neurodiverse sibling’s life, and wanted to create a group that could connect and unite siblings. Over 15 years, Growing Together has raised over $50,000 through various fundraising events, hosted sibling panels, keynote speakers, and held four Annual Sibling Support Day’s.

My brother is my best friend. I feel so grateful to have him as my baby brother, even if he’s a foot taller! I am always learning from him, and he is my biggest inspiration. I hope Growing Together can help siblings understand how special their relationship is, and celebrate the unconditional bond between siblings.

We have so many things we love doing together! A passion for all things Disney, video games and puzzles, baking, and swimming. I hope we can help siblings continue to connect, celebrate their relationships, and foster a community to unite us.
